A mother-of-two died after operating again into the household’s burning house to attempt to rescue their cat, her heartbroken husband stated.

Andrew Salinas stated he received his spouse Keila Almonte, 33, their two youngsters and his brother out of the house that was on fire on Wednesday night. But Almonte ran back inside the unit in Houston, Texas, to look for their cat, he said.

‘When I was out here screaming for her, I didn’t hear anything. If I would’ve heard my wife, I would’ve ran in there,’ Salinas told KTRK. ‘There would have been nothing that could have stopped me from going in to save my wife.’

Salinas may very well be heard screaming for his spouse to interrupt a window and escape, in a video recorded by a neighbor and shared with KHOU.

The husband stated: ‘I used to be telling the firemen, “Hey man, she’s up there, she’s up there.” He was like, “No sir, there’s nobody up there.” I used to be like, “Sir, she’s up there.”‘

Almonte was pronounced useless on the scene, lower than two weeks earlier than Christmas.

‘She was just the best thing that ever happened to me,’ Salinas told the TV station. ‘And now it’s Christmas and now I have to explain to the boys.’

Almonte and Salinas were together for 15 years and married for two years, and their kids are six and 10 years old.

‘My wife was the one who really believed in me. Everybody else gave up on me. My wife is irreplaceable and now I’m a widower,’ Salinas said.

‘You have your loved ones. You give them a kiss everyday, and you tell them you love them, because one day they’re here. The next day, they’re not.’

The first started in Salinas’ apartment at the Southway Manor Apartments on Fairway Drive around 10.30pm and destroyed four units in total. Salinas said he did not know the cause of the blaze and it is being investigated by the Houston Fire Department.

A GoFundMe page stating that Almonte ‘was lost in apartment fire’ had raised greater than $4,000 as of Friday afternoon.

‘Everything burned down and I don’t actually care about none of that,’ Salinas stated. ‘I just want my wife back.’

Almonte died almost a yr after a girl spending Christmas Eve along with her fiancé’s household in California alerted them of a fireplace began by a synthetic vacation tree and saved them, however was not in a position to escape herself.
