A MORAY drama group have actually commemorated prize success after 2 of their plays received acknowledgment.
The Miltonduff based group LADS just recently returned from contending in the Scottish Community Drama Association’s One Act Play Festivals in Nairn and Thurso, where they were granted with prizes for their programs Kitten Heels and Costa del Packet.
The 2 plays were composed, carried out and directed by members of the group.
Kitten Heels, a Doric funny by Catriona Yule about an imperious mom getting ready for her child’s wedding event was carried out to much recognition.
The groups 2nd play Costa Del Packet received The Ian Glass Trophy for 3rd location at the competitors in Nairn. The play, composed by Anthony Booth was set on a vacation to Spain in the 1970’s where a group of good friends discover their hotel hasn’t in fact been developed yet.
The group brought the program to the Highland Divisional Final in Thurso where they received The MacLennan Prize for finest phase discussion for their surroundings and set.
Although the group directly lost out on participating in the Scottish finals, LADS are now getting ready for their next program, a murder secret that they will carry out in June and a three-act play they will stage later on in the year.
Their AGM will occur at Miltonduff Hall on Wednesday May 24 at 7.30pm. All are welcome and the group are constantly searching for brand-new members to get included on or off phase. For more info call 07813 342 248
