NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police officers had their hands in Downtown Nashville Wednesday early morning after they state a male declined to work together and after that utilized a cat to attempt to prevent being jailed.
According to an arrest affidavit, 41-year-old Christopher Gaddis was found by MNPD officers on Printers Alley. The officers approached Gaddis, who was holding a cat firmly in his arms and started shouting loudly when he discovered them coming, authorities said. Efforts by the officers to encourage Gaddis to be peaceful due to neighboring homes were not successful.
The report states Gaddis was discovered to have 2 exceptional warrants, triggering the officers to try an arrest. Gaddis instantly withstood by retreating from the officers, according to authorities. This triggered the cat in his arms to scratch him numerous times.
