A person has been charged with an animal cruelty offence after a video emerged of a cat being kicked off the pavement.
Warwickshire Police stated that the 71-year-old had been charged after the CCTV footage confirmed a person kicking the cat throughout the highway in Leamington.
The drive had beforehand stated that the incident occurred in Hastang Fields, Leamington at round 6.56am on September 16.
In footage revealed by the Mail Online, a person is seen calling his canine in direction of him earlier than putting it on a lead.
He then grabs the canine’s face and shakes it a number of instances earlier than walking in direction of the cat and kicking it.
The Mail Online reported that the animal, named Lenny, died two days later.
The man, who has not been named however is from Leamington, was interviewed on Monday, police stated.
He will face a cost of inflicting pointless struggling to a protected animal at Warwickshire Magistrates Court in Leamington Spa on November 10.
