UPSHUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A person faces prices after he killed and skinned a cat.

According to a prison criticism, on August 27, a public service name requested a welfare verify on Bryan Schooley. The caller acknowledged that she was knowledgeable Schooley had killed and skinned a cat the day prior and was involved about his psychological well being.

When authorities arrived, Schooley mentioned he strangled his pet cat and skinned it to “try his hand at taxidermy.” When requested why he killed his cat, Schooley mentioned he thought it was sick as a result of coughing and presumably having rabies. Authorities questioned whether or not he took the cat to the vet to substantiate it was sick, however Schooley mentioned he didn’t.

Schooley mentioned he sat the cat in his lap after which “strangled it to death.” Authorities requested how the suspect obtained lacerations on his hand, and Schooley responded, saying the cat was scratching him when he was killing it. Police requested to see the cat’s stays, however the suspect initially hesitated as a result of he mentioned the scene was “pretty brutal.” Once contained in the home, Schooley pulled the cat’s fur out of the freezer.

Schooley is charged with animal cruelty.  He presently stays in Tygart Valley Regional Jail. His bond just isn’t listed.
