OLD FORGE- A lady from the Mohawk Valley is accused of abandoning a cat within the Western Adirondacks, authorities are reporting.
Alicia J. Ortiz-Youngs, 24, of Utica, NY was formally charged on Tuesday afternoon by the Town of Webb Police Department with one misdemeanor depend of abandonment of animals.
According to Chief of Police Ron Johnston, police had been notified of an deserted cat that was discovered inside a plastic tote behind an area business in Old Forge, NY.
The discovery occurred on Sunday and Chief Johnston confirmed the cat was discovered, alive.
