The Salem Lady Wildcat bowlers completed tenth on the IHSA State Tournament at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford over the weekend. After qualifying simply above the cut-line in twelfth place after the opening day, Salem used a very good morning run to assist them to the tenth place end simply 26 pins out of ninth place. Joliet West was the workforce champ with Minooka and Lockport within the high 3. Collinsville was 4th, Mascoutah 6 and O’Fallon completed 12 pins behind Salem in eleventh.
Palos Hills senior Arianna Araujo received the title 37 pins forward of Gina Scichowski of Richmond, Triad’s Brylee Proffitt was eighth, Livia Montgomery of Collinsville 11 and Amber Montante of O’Fallon 14. Salem’s Jaeda Rollinson was twenty first, Macy Jones of Vandalia fortieth with Ava Birch 67 and Olivia Paulson 72nd. Willow Amburgey, Elena Vanhoutin, Brooklyn Hamilton, Mallory Hopkin and Kialee Hardin additionally contributed to the end for the Lady Cats and coaches Steve Ludwig and Maliyah Hamilton.
