Five kittens were discovered dead in the bins.
“The cover was taped shut with duct tape,” said Donna Dybus, the director of the Spayed Club on Chester Pike in Sharon Hill.
That bin included 2 dead kittens that had to do with 6 months old. The bin was left on Saturday, July 15 throughout 90-degree heat while the center was closed.
On Friday, August 11, the exact same man left another bin consisting of 3 kittens after hours. All 3 passed away. Dybus thinks they suffocated.
“Horrific. Tragic.” she said. “And unneeded.”
The Spayed Club is a not-for-profit veterinarian center that provides low-cost services to help manage the family pet population. Others have actually dropped off animals in the past throughout business hours. There are big indications on the doors of the center asking individuals not to leave family pets.
“It’s harsh and prohibited, and they will pass away. And that’s precisely what occurred,” Dybus said.
Sharon Hill authorities are trying to find the man seen in security leaving the bins and are dealing with other departments to attempt to determine him.
The workers of the center desire justice for the 5 kittens that suffered a lot in their brief lives.
“It’s all around horrible to understand that somebody might do that and would do that. That’s something that will stick with me for a long, long period of time,” said Dybus.
