Rosa was handed in to Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary in February after she was found on a doorstep emaciated and not able to move.

Volunteers and veterinarians feared she had a “extremely slim” possibility of survival.

The compound left her having a hard time to breathe, with serious burns on her head and legs. Rosa was not able to consume when she got to the shelter and needed to get intravenous fluid to keep her alive.

Initially it was believed the kitten might have actioned in concrete. Ms Lloyd said: “Her head, her legs, whatever was simply strong. There was no motion in her face and she was so badly.”

But when volunteers cleaned off the compound they understood the seriousness of the kitten’s injuries.

The charity’s creator said: “We were frightened by what we saw.

“Initially we believed it was unintentional, that she’d strolled in something, however really her feet were definitely great. It was her legs that were most impacted, the top of her legs, and it’s taken 9 weeks for those to recover completely.”
