SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The Siouxland Humane Society says they’ve eliminated all of their cats from Coffee & Purrs in Sioux City.
The Humane Society made the announcement on Facebook Friday morning, saying they’ll now not be partnering with the native cat café.
“Please look to adopt cats daily at our Shelter or Petco and at Southern Hills Mall and PetSmart on select weekends,” mentioned the Humane Society on Facebook.
The espresso store portion of Coffee & Purrs, which is positioned in downtown Sioux City, opened again in December 2022. The cat café a part of the business then opened in January 2023.
Originally, the café’s partnership with the Siouxland Humane Society allowed them to have cats on web site for company to play with, and even undertake in the event that they’d like.
KTIV is reaching out to Coffee & Purrs for an announcement.
