A person was fined $2,000 after he was caught choosing a cat up by its tail and throwing it a number of metres.
The 38-year-old Piara Waters man was convicted beneath the Animal Welfare Act in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, precisely two years after the sickening act of cruelty.
CCTV footage exhibits the person snuck up behind the cat, named Blossom, in entrance of her home on Sheldon St in Piara Waters about midnight on January 16, 2022.
The man then grabbed Blossom by her tail and threw her between 5 and 7 metres throughout the concrete driveway.
The man and his three mates laughed as Blossom landed on her aspect in entrance of the home subsequent door.
Blossom was twice assessed by a vet after she was abused and was supplied ache reduction.

RSPCA Inspector Manager Kylie Green mentioned there was no place in society for such brutish behaviour.

‘This would have been a terrifying ordeal for Blossom and distressing for her house owners to see. I’m glad they’ve all acquired some justice with this choice at present.’
