HOOKSETT — A Hooksett man was arrested Saturday afternoon on prices of animal cruelty after allegedly hitting and killing a home cat, in line with native police.
At roughly 1:44 p.m., Hooksett Police Department officers have been dispatched to a residence on Mammoth Road following a report of potential animal cruelty.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed two people concerned within the incident.
The suspect, recognized as Felix Perez, 30, informed officers he had been bitten by the cat whereas attempting to wash it.
In response, Perez claimed he struck the animal.
A witness found the cat nonetheless alive, however injured, with blood round its mouth and unable to regulate its legs.
The cat had died earlier than police arrived on the scene.
