A Dayton homeowner and their 3 cats passed away in a fire Saturday afternoon, according to Dayton Fire Chief Gary Hendrickson.
Dayton, Rogers and Osseo Fire Departments reacted to a fire at a mobile home on Crestwood Drive around twelve noon Saturday. Rogers firemens were initially to the scene and came across heavy smoke, authorities said.
Information from dispatch suggested that the owner of the mobile home might have been within. Fire authorities discovered the house owner near the front door, deceased. Three cats were likewise discovered deceased.
The fire is under examination by the State Fire Marshals Office.
