Hollyoaks actor James Sutton has issued a desperate plea to his followers to help find his missing cat, who he’s hoping will make a safe return.

The soap star, 39, posted a photo of his cat Ralph to his 111K fans on Instagram, explaining his pet has gone missing in Liverpool and he’s not chipped and doesn’t have a collar.

He later thanked those who spread the message by sharing his post, saying he lives in ‘perpetual hope’ that Ralph will soon return home, but so far, there’s no sign of him.

Writing on Instagram, he said: ‘Ralph has gone missing in the L4 Walton area of Liverpool.

‘Please keep an eye out for him. He’s not chipped and has no collar. Thanks.’

James added: ‘Thank you to everyone for sharing my story and for your kind advice. No sign of him yet but I live in perpetual hope.’

James is known for playing John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

Away from the show, he’s married to wife Rachael Collin after the pair wed three years ago at music festival Glastonbury.

James shared an Instagram post detailing his physical transformation this year, explaining his new morning routine has ‘changed his outlook.’

Displaying his muscular arms in a vest, he said: ‘Get up early. No social media. Be still. Be grateful.

‘Drink water. Read 10 pages of something. Stretch. Exercise. Start your day the right way. You’re already 2-0 up and it’s not even half time.’

He continued with his advice, which was well received by his former co-star Gary Lucy, who commented ‘beef cake’ and the clapping hands emoji.

James added: ‘Learn to accept yourself. Love yourself as you are. Your finest work, your best movements, your joy, peace and healing come when you love yourself.

‘You give a great gift to the world when you do that. Yo give other permission to do the same to love themselves. Revel in self love. Roll in it. Bask in it as you would sunshine.’

He concluded: ‘At the end of the day, you’re stuck with you, so you might as well try and make the best of it.

‘Be well, you beautiful work in progress.’
