CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County residents can decide up winter shelters for out of doors cats on the Humane Educational Society (HES).
HES volunteers have created a number of of those shelters created from coolers crammed with straw.
The organization mentioned they’d about 30 shelters on Tuesday, December 12.
The public can come decide up shelters whereas provides final. HES is giving them out on a first-come, first-served foundation.
Pick up instances are Tuesday to Saturday from midday to five p.m., and on Sunday from midday to 4 p.m. HES is closed on Mondays.
“These cats… they’re kind of domestic, but a little bit wild. So, they still depend on humans for help,” mentioned HES Community Outreach Manager Jeanine Cloyd. “And so, humans feed them, as well as hopefully provide some really nice housing for them for protection in the winter months.”
The shelters are freed from cost.
