If you visited Black Cat Alley throughout this year’s Summer Soulstice Music Festival, you likely saw a block-long alley/outdoor art gallery bristling with individuals. That’s due to the fact that Black Cat—situated in between E. Kenilworth Place and E. Ivanhoe Place on the city’s east side—was hosting DJs throughout the day. And thanks to the brand-new “Black Cat Rising” performance series, the music—DJs and otherwise—will continue all summer season long.
“Black Cat Rising” is set to occur on Thursday nights, July 6 through September 7. The music will range from 7-9 p.m. Nearby Crossroads Collective will supply an outside bar, some high-top tables, and the phase. The series is totally free. The cats at the adjacent cat coffee shop will be available for window watching. They might or might not be trained to hiss at the brand-new pedestrian-only Ivanhoe Plaza.
