HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) —
“This being an older building, there was a rat drawback and a mice drawback, so the cat was introduced in for that motive,” Chief Communications Officer Mike Morgan mentioned.
Mr. Jingles grew to become the county’s official mouse catcher and full-time resident within the courthouse. County Manager John Mitchell describes Mr. Jingles as “a tough employee who by no means leaves work. He works on a regular basis taking care of this building.”
“Sometimes it appears like we work for him, he is all the time watching us,” he added.
“You by no means know the place you are going to discover him,” Mike Morgan mentioned. “He likes to get behind individuals’s desks or pop in on conferences. His favourite place to be is by the window outdoors my workplace laying within the solar.”

“He’s very profitable at his job and hasn’t missed to many meals,” he added. “He has the job all people needs. He can eat at any time when he needs to, sleep at any time when he needs to. He has the proper life.”
At this time, Mr. Jingles has no plans to retire.
