We have this morning the title of the lady who was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and neglect in Gainesville: Hall County Animal Control says 22 cats and one canine have been rescued from 65 year-old Dorothy Frick’s home in Gainesville. The animals are receiving medical consideration and can quickly be put up for adoption.
From WSB TV…
Nearly two dozen animals are with Hall County Animal Control after they have been discovered residing in poor situations.
When they arrived, they discovered 23 animals in “poor conditions” contained in the home.
Animal Control says they have been known as to assist with an eviction earlier this week on Cleveland Street in Gainesville.
The animals rescued included 22 cats and one canine. All of them will quickly be put up for adoption.
“Any time we take in a large influx of animals, it puts a burden on our shelter capacity,” Hall County Animal Services Director Trey Garcia stated. “We want to continually encourage adoptions, to ensure we have space available for these types of intake situations.”
Officials added that a number of the cats shall be housed at Petco in Cumming and a few will go to PetSmart in Flowery Branch.
