(WGGB/Gray News) – A young kitten, who was dropped at Massachusetts in hopes of getting him therapy for extreme leg deformity, has now discovered his without end home.
MSPCA-Angell spokesperson Sara-Rose Brenner stated that Gumby, an 11-week-old kitten, got here into their care earlier this month from an overcrowded shelter in Texas in hopes of getting him therapy for muscular contractures in his again legs that restrict his joint mobility.
Despite his challenges, Dr. Rebecca Fellman, MSPCA-Angell’s lead clinician of neighborhood and shelter medication, stated that Gumby “still manages to get around – often on all fours” and may walk and use a litter field.
MSPCA-Angell stated Wednesday in a post on social media that Gumby is heading to the home of Boston-area radio character Danielle Murr, whom the company stated can also be a “passionate animal advocate.”
Specialists are working to find out methods to handle Gumby’s situation. He doesn’t have any sores presently, and so they consider that surgical procedure could not enhance his mobility considerably.
“He loves attention and can be a little mischievous. … He doesn’t let anything get him down,” stated Erin Morey, MSPCA Boston Adoption Center clinic coordinator in an announcement.
MSPCA-Angell famous that Gumby will now be in a home with canine, cat and hamster siblings to maintain him firm and so they thanked the general public “who shared his story and helped find Gumby this happy ending.”
