Gov. Tim Walz’s household’s cat is lacking, and he requested Thursday for St. Paul neighbors to maintain a watch out for him.
“Some news out of the Walz household: Our family cat, Afton, has gone missing,” he wrote on social media. “… There will be two very grateful kids over here if Afton finds his way home.”
Afton, a 7-year-old tabby, is an out of doors cat and was recognized to attend weddings close to the Governor’s Mansion on Summit Avenue.
The Walz household is at the moment dwelling in Eastcliff, which normally homes University of Minnesota presidents, whereas the Governor’s Residence is renovated. Eastcliff is on Mississippi River Boulevard close to Marshall Avenue.
Afton went lacking Saturday morning and normally isn’t gone for therefore lengthy, in line with the governor’s workplace. Walz took to social media Thursday to publish in regards to the cat.
Walz put an Apple AirTag on Afton in July, and he used it on the time to trace the cat to the realm of his neighbor’s home, Axios reported. Before Afton was lacking, the cat had managed to get the AirTag off.
