PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) – Oregon authorities say a Portland lady has been arrested and charged with animal abuse after she introduced her kitten to an space animal hospital barely responsive and dyed pink.
According to authorities, Elizabeth Zurcher-Wood introduced the kitten into the Dove Lewis Animal Hospital on Dec. 12. The animal was affected by hypothermia and in shock.
Zurcher-Wood reportedly instructed a veterinarian on the animal hospital that her cat was sick. So, she cleaned her with Windex glass cleaner, Spic and Span family cleaner and rubbing alcohol.
The veterinarian stated the lady appeared to not perceive that the chemical substances she used have been poisonous to the cat.
Zurcher-Wood was taken into custody the next week and charged with two counts of animal abuse.
This just isn’t the primary time Zurcher-Wood has run into authorized troubles.
Police stated was beforehand arrested after making an attempt to kidnap a toddler whereas wielding a machete.
According to the Oregon Humane Society, the kitten is now wholesome and is at present with a foster household.
