A MUCH-loved cat who perches on a railway station’s ticket limitations has been attacked.
Nala was kicked by a gaggle of youngsters earlier than a commuter and rail employees intervened.
It sparked outrage amongst passengers who love seeing the pleasant four-year-old moggy at Stevenage station in Hertfordshire.
One mentioned on-line: “I noticed Nala the opposite week and [she] helped me via the ticket barrier.
“Put a smile on my otherwise miserable commute. How or why would anyone hurt [her]?”
Another wrote: “I’m horrified that people could treat precious Nala in this way.”
Nala’s homeowners mentioned she had recovered and returned to her spot on the station after the attack on November 19.
They posted: “She enjoys [her] freedom, spending some days totally at home and others exploring or being perched on the station. We don’t want to prohibit [her] freedom.
“We thank the anonymous member of the community who stood up for Nala and the station staff who intervened and hope the police will bring the perpetrators to justice.”
British Transport Police was approached for remark.
