OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) —
Four individuals have been displaced after a fireplace at their cellular home in Ogden, killing a canine and cat.
Crews responded to the the 1000 Block of Wall Ave at roughly 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Upon arriving, they reported a one-story cellular home with smoke and heavy flames coming from the construction, with fireplace spreading to a neighboring home.
Officials mentioned fast actions prevented any main harm to the neighbor’s home. A complete of 20 firefighters from Ogden and Weber Fire assisted.
Four individuals and one canine had safely evacuated earlier than firefighters arrived. One canine and one cat, nonetheless, didn’t make it out and died within the fireplace.
Red Cross members responded to assist those that have been displaced. The building has been secured and has an estimated $80,00 in harm.
The Fire Marshal’s workplace was on the scene on Friday to research and decide the trigger.
