A little stowaway offered firemens a suprise back at the hall over the weekend.
Vernon Fire Rescue Solutions had a hectic weekend, with one employ specific leading to a fur-raising trip for a little feline.
Firemens reacted to an automobile event on Highway 97 near Birnie Roadway Sunday around 2 p.m. As firemens were hectic helping RCMP with traffic control, a spectator discovered a little black kitten near the scene.
After the event was cleared, firemens looked for the kitten however were not able to find it.
A brief time later on, when the team went back to the fire hall, they might hear smothered noises of meowing that seemed originating from the fire truck. A search of the car led to firemens finding a kitten, stashed in the engine compartment.
The kitten was securely eliminated and seemed in excellent condition, aside from most likely being a little worried and starving.
The team assisted look after the kitten over night with food, water, and a warm location to sleep. The following early morning, the kitten was required to a regional veterinarian center.
