SAINT ANTONIO – A family suffered the loss of their cat and is momentarily displaced after a garage fire on the city’s Southeast Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
The fire took place around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the 200 block of Ryan Drive near Dollarhide and Kellis Avenue.
SAFD said a man was dealing with his traditional Camaro in his garage when a fire stimulated while utilizing a grinding tool. As the man stocked his garage with products he offered, the fire rapidly spread out, ultimately landing on the Camaro’s cover.
Firefighters said the man tried to snuff out the flames with a garden tube however was unable to manage it.
The man did suffer small burns to his hands however declined treatment, said SAFD.
