Kittens and bunnies came together in an Easter-themed fundraising celebration for Coast to Coast Cat Rescue on Sunday.

The occasion, at the Bay of Islands Riding for the Disabled arena in Waimate North, included an Easter egg hunt, carrot throwing, deal with painting, a bouncy castle, egg-and-spoon races, face painting, and naturally great deals of charming kittens up for adoption.

In the year ended March 31, the charity had actually taken in 485 cats and kittens in requirement of a home from the larger Bay of Islands and as far as Kaitāia, Waimamaku and Whangārei. Of those 378 had actually up until now been embraced with the rest rehomed by other organisations or still in foster care.
