EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha said Wednesday that an East Providence man has actually been charged with eliminating a 3-year-old animal cat.
Karim Carson was charged with one count of destructive injury to or killing of animals, one count of unneeded cruelty to animals with death resulting, and one count of blocking an officer in the execution of responsibility.
Carson, who’s 32-years-old, was implicated of eliminating the cat of his kid’s mom on Dec. 6, 2022.
The mom declared that she and Carson were arguing over text when he sent her a picture of the cat below their kid’s bed with a message stating that they weren’t breathing.
East Providence Animal Control performed a necropsy of the cat and discovered injuries constant with being kicked, stomped, and tossed.
Carson was apprehended on Feb. 22. He’s scheduled to appear in court in October.
