An ‘extremely distressed’ cat was discovered giving beginning in a crisp field after being dumped on a Scots avenue.
The gray and white moggie had three kittens however sadly misplaced one after it was stillborn, the Scottish SPCA say.
The alarm was raised by a member of the general public who found the cat within the Tullychewan space of Alexandria on Monday, March 11.
An officer from the charity attended and took the cat and her infants into their care.
Scottish SPCA centre supervisor, Nikki Morrison, stated: “The white and grey female cat was found giving birth on Monday and was extremely distressed.

“She gave birth to three kittens, one of which was sadly stillborn.
“The cat and her remaining two kittens are receiving care and attention from our staff at one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.
“We would urge anyone unable to care for their pets to contact our confidential animal helpline for support and advice.
