The animal charity is urging cat homeowners to neuter their pets.
The DSPCA has issued a brand new attraction for members of the general public to undertake a cat.
The charity’s shelter in South Dublin is anticipated to rescue and rehome over 1,000 cats and kittens this summer time.
It’s a interval often called ‘kitten season’ with a flurry of stray cats and kittens.
For any present cat homeowners – the DSPCA is urging them to neuter as quickly as attainable.

Most stray kitten litters have a mean survival charge of three kittens per litter.
The DSPCA’s Corporate Relations Manager is Suzanne McGovern.
“During kitten season there’s a larger demand for foster and adoptive households on the DSCPA.”
“When you undertake a cat from the DSPCA, they are going to be neutered and vaccinated.”
“Our cattery facility (in Rathfarnham) is open from 12-4pm each Tuesday to Sunday.”
