Dozens of Himalayan cats and kittens had been rescued within the Wheaton space over the weekend after being dumped, based on a bunch of animal rescuers.
Volunteers with the Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition estimated roughly 30 of the cats had been dumped within the space. Some of the animals had been discovered close to the Sligo Creek Trail, Wheaton Regional Park, and in close by neighborhoods, rescuers stated.

On Saturday, a spokesperson with the Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition posted that the group was contacted to help the Maryland-National Capital Park Police in catching six Himalayan cats and kittens that had been found close to Wheaton Regional Park. The cats had been scared and hungry however in any other case in fine condition, search crews reported.
So far, greater than 20 of the cats have been discovered and trapped.

Maryland-National Capital Park Police stated their company is working with the Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition and animal management to help of their investigation.
