Doja Cat Says She Was ‘Super Ill’ While Wearing Viral Red Crystal Look At Fashion Week

Doja Cat was feeling a little shady while sporting her striking red crystal take a look at Paris Fashion Week.

The Grammy-winning rap artist just recently revealed in an interview with L’Officiel that she was experiencing stomach concerns leading up to her look, in which she marched putting on 30,000 hand-placed Swarovski crystals.

Doja said the all-red, sequined viral appearance was born since she “wanted to do something really major” for the Schiaparelli discussion. She included that she fell “in love” with the sketches of the astonishing ensemble that were sent to her prior to the occasion.

“I got to Paris, and I did a few shows before Schiaparelli. Super smooth, super easy, fun, loved it. I didn’t realize I had to get up at four in the morning [the day of the show] to get there by five or something,” she explained, reflecting on the minutes prior to her legendary transformation. “So we get there, and I didn’t realize till I sat down in the chair that I had gastroenteritis. So I had gotten super ill.”

The “Woman” vocalist said she started to feel what seemed like “the twirling of a knife” inside her stomach while getting prepped for the huge occasion in January.

Recalling how the “sweet” glam group assisted her prepare yourself, she raved about how helpful they were throughout the unforeseen minute, specifically renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath, who “kept on giving me ginger ale and all these different things to help settle my stomach.”

“The whole crew was so sweet. The whole glam team was so understanding and so sensitive and kind. It was great and very professional,” Doja continued. “I was trying to joke around and make light of the situation, but as time progressed, it only got worse.”

She included, “My stomach felt like there was a blade in it, and it was just spinning 100 miles per hour. I never felt pain worse than that — and on one of the most important days of my life!”

Fighting off the discomfort, Doja had the ability to let the group surface dressing her up in the tiresome procedure.

“So I had my arms out, I was sitting down, and I had underwear and a bandeau on,” Doja said, explaining how the group dealt with her getup. “They started with a layer of red paint, and they just covered me in that and then a layer of glue, and then I think they dusted glitter on top. Then the crystals.”

After sustaining discomfort and distress for the almost 5 hours it required to complete preparing, the 27-year-old fashionista had the ability to perform the unforgettable appearance.

Her remarkable perseverance isn’t a surprise as she insisted she’s “down to sacrifice my comfort” and will “do anything for that fantasy that I have in my head.”

When asked if it deserved it, Doja responded “definitely,” including, “I’m very, very proud of it.”

Rocking renowned style takes a look at Paris Fashion Week is something the Los Angeles native recognizes with.

Last year, she painted herself gold and likewise rocked significant extraterrestrial-style blue-and-white makeup for a various appearance.
