We’re simply 2 days far from the release of “Attention,” Doja Cat’s brand-new single, and the teases simply continue coming. She debuted the tune’s bloody cover art Tuesday (June 13) without revealing the title, then discreetly verified it through pre-save link after at first revealing the then-unnamed track. The “Get Into It (Yuh)” rap artist followed that up on Wednesday (June 14) by publishing the very first teaser of the track’s accompanying video on Twitter.

The bit reveals clips of Doja strutting through a crowd of masked pedestrians, sprinkled with shots of a crazy crowd of admirers whose screams strangely misshape their facial functions. “Look at me, look at me/ You lookin?” Doja raps over the bit’s purposefully smothered boom-bap-leaning beat. The teaser then concludes with the date “6.16.23” flashing throughout a black screen, fading from pure white to blood red. The “Tia Tamera” rap artist captioned the bit with a single blood bead emoji.

“Attention” is anticipated to be the very first taste of Doja’s 4th studio album, her follow-up to 2021’s Planet Her. Spawning the Billboard Hot 100 leading 10 songs “Need to Know,” “Kiss Me More” (with SZA) and “Woman,” Planet Her became her greatest charting entry on the Billboard 200 to date, peaking at No. 2.
In the time because her last studio album, the “Say So” rap artist has actually stayed musically active. Last year, she scored a leading 10 struck with “Vegas,” the lead single from the Elvis soundtrack, and more just recently, she guested on a remix of SZA’s “Kill Bill,” which assisted raise the tune to its No. 1 peak on the Hot 100.
