Doja Cat has been accused of bullying and banning a participant from a Tinychat room in which she was allegedly given admin privileges.

The Grammy-winning artist has a controversial history with chat rooms, with alleged racist behavior having taken place in rooms she’s been a part of. Doja herself has also been accused of using slurs.

Earlier this week, an unverified participant posted to social media: “Not only has Doja Cat been going into this chat room, this is her right here, the owner gave her admin and she bans, kicks and bullies the shit out of me in the chat.”

A clip of Doja Cat in the chat room was also shared.

Doja Cat has a checkered past appearing in chat rooms that have been branded as “incel” or “alt-right” chats. She previously denied all allegations made against her regarding any racist behavior in 2020.

Social media narratives began to run rampant against Doja with the #DojaCatIsOverParty hashtag trending across Twitter.

Doja Cat Reveals Surgery Plans: ‘I Want My Titties Pulled Up’

“I want to address what’s been happening on Twitter. I’ve used public chat rooms to socialize since I was a child. I shouldn’t have been on some of those chat room sites, but I personally have never been involved in any racist conversations. I’m sorry to everyone that I offended,” she wrote.

“I’m a Black woman. Half of my family is black from South Africa and I’m very proud of where I come from. As for the old song that’s resurfaced, it was in no way tied to anything outside of my own personal experience. It was written in response to people who often used that term to hurt me. I made an attempt to flip its meaning, but recognize that it was a bad decision to use the term in my music.”

Doja Cat continued: “I understand my influence and impact and I’m taking this all very seriously. I love you all and I’m sorry for upsetting or hurting any of you. That’s not my character, and I’m determined to show that to everybody moving forward. Thank you.”

On the music side of things, while she didn’t drop a new project this year, Doja Cat is still one of the most-nominated artists at the 2023 Grammy Awards. She collected five nominations in categories such as Record of the Year, Best Pop Performance, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video.
