NORWICH (WBNG) — The Norwich Police Department mentioned six individuals have been arrested after officers seen unlivable circumstances and quite a few emaciated and undernourished dogs.
The division mentioned the scenario was seen when officers responded to 60 Mitchell St. in Norwich to help the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office with a separate investigation.
Then, a subsequent investigation revealed that contained in the home there have been greater than 20 dogs that all of us undernourished and one canine needed to be rushed to the Pet Street Station Veterinary Office. As of Feb. 1, that canine is listed in severe situation.
Norwich Police Chief Rueben Roach famous that the home was stuffed with animal and human feces and bugs and was in deplorable circumstances.
“I can’t fathom how people live like this or treat animals this way,” Roach mentioned.
Police mentioned in addition they discovered two youngsters, eight rabbits, 4 guinea pigs, three cats and quite a few kittens. Inside the home, two disabled adults have been discovered they usually have been transported to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital with Adult Protective Services.
