DAWSON CREEK —
Sandra Piskun said her and her cat were presumably assaulted by a big dog on Wednesday, leaving both with injuries.
Piskun said she was walking her cat Gypsy to her apartment or condo elevator when the doors opened and a big dog leapt out.
She said the dog began assaulting her cat while she tried to fend it off.
After hearing the sound, Piskun’s next-door neighbor encountered the corridor and saved both of them.
Sandra suffered bites and scratches on his legs and hand with Gypsy getting injuries to her back. She said, “If you have a big dog, please listen. Because if I lost my cat, I would lose everything because it’s also a part of my family. I hope you understand. I just want to make sure the dog will not attack other people or other animals.”
She said she asked for the owner of the dog to spend for Gypsy’s medical expenses completely however decided to divide it with her.
She said she doesn’t wish to embarassment or damn the owner, rather she wishes to alert owners of big dogs to watch on their family pets.
