Staff at Perdiswell Leisure Centre discovered the beheaded black cat near the sports centre in Bilford Road on Monday (July 3).
Police are now examining the scenarios around the cat’s death.
The cat’s owners stay a secret.
Vets were contacted us to the scene and were not able to discover a microchip or anything recognizable info connected to the cat.
The occurrence was reported to police prior to 12.30pm.

“It was discovered by the staff at the leisure centre who took it to the veterinarians to see if it was microchipped.
