BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – Ralphie can’t hear well, however that doesn’t need to alter much of anything.
News 40 spoke with the Butler County Animal Shelter concerning a cat they published on Facebook, who is deaf. What is it like to take care of a deaf animal we questioned, so we went to speak with the horses mouth.
Makayla Lowe-Sikes with the shelter informed us that it doesn’t need to be much various than any other animal, simply to be sluggish when approaching and keep them within. Being that Ralphie can’t hear, he would be quickly shocked and susceptible to outdoors conditions such as predators or traffic.
Lowe-Sikes said when it concerns stimulation, a deaf cat would be more thinking about things like brushes or rough things instead of normal cat toys that make sounds with bells and what no connected.
