You likewise most likely keep in mind Fisher’s 2007 Donzi 38 ZR V-bottom, which he offered late in 2015. But Fisher and his beautiful longtime better half, Christy Foote, will be running their new-to-them DCB Performance Boats M37R catamaran this time around in Champlain. Earlier today, they campaigned the Mercury Racing 450R engine-powered 37-footer in the Hartwell Lake Charity Run in South Carolina. They were signed up with by their buddies Chad Shutter of BRP Marine Customs in Denver, N.C., and his fiancé, Ashley Gerthoffer.
Fisher took shipment of the cat at the Desert Storm Poker Run in late-April. The following month, he and Foote ran it in the Smith Mountain Lake Poker Run in Virginia. Knowing they be returning for this weekend’s Hartwell Lake affair, he left the boat with Shutter at his North Carolina center.
Built initially for DCB customer Jason Jackson, Fisher’s M37R had 28 operating hours when he bought it through the El Cajon, Calif., business. It is the Vermonter’s 2nd catamaran. His initially was a 30-foot Spectre.
Ahead the Champlain occasion, Fisher and Foote left their 37-footer with their friend Chad Shutter at BRP Marine Customs in North Carolina.
“They’re not in the same class—they’re not even in the same litter,” he said, then chuckled. “The DCB is at the top of the food chain.
“We did the run in 1 hour and 47 minutes today,” he included. “I think the probably has 35 hours on it now.”
Next up for Fisher and Foote is the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run, July 13-14, followed by the Lake Champlain occasion. They’ll conclude their boating season with the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker, November 7-13, though they are unsure if they’ll come over boat.
“We haven’t decided yet,” said Fisher. “But we are going to be there for sure.”
