CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – Adult cats 7 months and older could have their adoption charges waived, and kittens are undertake one get one free.
Staff on the Cheyenne Animal Shelter stated that they’ve seen a rise of cats surrendered to their shelter, and that it requires a variety of sources to deal with these cats.
“For some people it’s just a little too pricey to get an adult cat for how ever much shelters might be charging adoption fee wise, so waiving these fees, we’re getting them to some really nice homes of people who are going to give them that love and attention that they deserve and they need,” stated Kayla Hahn, the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
Hahn stated she hopes this adoption promotion will encourage anybody who has ever thought-about adopting a cat to undertake one now from their shelter.
According to Hahn that they had over 340 adoptions through the month of July, and the hope is that this promotion retains that momentum going.
