On May 27, Bangkok resident Apiwat Toyothaka shared a picture of his car’s broken rear side window and a mildly injured cat. He wrote that a cat crashed through his car after falling from the sixth floor.
The cat’s owner said that she had forgotten to lock her balcony which allowed the cat, named Shifu, to get out. It appears that the feline slipped through the railing and fell down. What makes Shifu’s survival even more interesting is he is an overweight cat with 8.5 kilograms.
Toyothaka, who is also a cat lover, was understanding of the situation and said that the car’s damages would be covered by the insurance.
When the cat was taken to the vet, the doctor concluded that he has no life threatening injuries, just some bruises, a swollen nose, and two broken claws. The X Ray examination found no fractures. One the day after the accident, Toyothaka shared more photos of Shifu from its owner’s home and wrote that the cat is doing well.
