Cat Taken With Car in Armed Carjacking Monday

Police are searching for leads after a cat was taken throughout an armed carjacking Monday.

The cat, who solutions to “Milly” or “Mini”, is envisioned above. She is  a 10-year-old domestic medium-haired cat, who is black and white in color.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are searching for the general public’s assist with any info referring to the Armed Carjacking that occurred on Monday, April 17 on the 700 block of Seventh Street SE, south of G Street SE.

At roughly 6:01 p.m., the suspects approached the victim at the noted area. One of the suspects had a pistol and required the secrets to the victim’s vehicle.

The victim complied and among the suspects left the scene in the victim’s vehicle, a 2020 red Toyota Highlander. The 2nd suspect left the scene in another vehicle.

Mini the cat was within a red and cream-colored cage in the car when it was taken.

The automobiles were recorded by a close-by monitoring cam and can be seen in the image above. The victim’s vehicle is referred to as a 2020 red Toyota Highlander with Virginia tag UCZ6685.

The suspects’ vehicle is referred to as a 2016 silver Hyundai Sonata with Maryland tag 4EW6094. An picture of the car and plate is listed below.
