One fortunate cat is beginning over in Miami after being smuggled onto a global cruise and going through the potential of euthanasia.
Ovie, an unsuspecting cat, was discovered onboard Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas on Nov. 18 after reportedly being smuggled onboard the cruise ship by a visitor.
Michael Bayley, the CEO of Royal Caribbean International, famous in a Facebook put up on Friday that the cat was “smuggled” onto the cruise, which made stops in Australia and New Zealand.
“We consider that it was within the visitor’s sweatshirt, and we assume he will need to have been sedated or one thing,” Bayley added of Ovie on social media.
The cat got here to the eye of Royal Caribbean after the feline was noticed by a crew member and “reported to New Zealand authorities per their bio-security protocols,” Royal Caribbean shared in a press release with PEOPLE on Thursday.
