CARY, N.C. — A family is looking for responses Wednesday after their cat was shot by a pellet weapon Tuesday in Cary.
Anastasia Pratt and Kyle Dorsay, the owners of Frank, said a next-door neighbor discovered him in discomfort under a truck in their area.
“We took him to the veterinarian down the street to have a look at him,” Pratt said. “We figured it was simply another animal attack.”
When x-rays returned on Frank, the owners discovered that somebody had actually shot Frank with a pellet weapon.
Police came and took declarations from the owners.
Frank presently deals with a long roadway to recuperate, as his care will cost almost $4,800.
Now, Frank’s owners are alerting other individuals of the threats their family pets might deal with.
“I just wanted to let people know this could happen to anyone and it is happening out there,” Dorsay said.
