EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — A canine is alive and wagging her tail, due to the household cat who scared off two attacking coyotes.
“I was kind of inspired by it, quite frankly,” mentioned Lane Dyer.
Oakley is a white canine, whereas Binx is a black cat. They’re polar opposites, however they’re household.
The Dyer’s wooded again yard is Binx’s area.
“She was neighborhood cat just showed up when she was about two months old,” mentioned Lane.
On November thirtieth, whereas the household’s two different huge dogs had been exterior however out of digital camera view, Dyer mentioned they let the 6-year-old Havanese canine exterior to go to the lavatory.
“Out of nowhere [she] was attacked by a coyote,” mentioned Dyer.

Thankfully, on the left facet of the video Binx seems. She was not going to let this occur to her household in her yard.
“[Binx} jumped down and scared them off, it was the craziest thing ever,” said Dyer.
That gave Oakley enough time to run inside.

The Dyers rushed Oakley to Neel Veterinary Hospital. She was stitched up whereas her leg was put in a splint. Veterinarians advised the Dyers Oakley could should have her leg amputated. Thankfully, she healed and her limp stays intact.
While ready for Oakley to get well, the Dyers tried to determine what occurred.
“Thankfully, we had security cameras. We were able to go back and actually look to see what happened,” mentioned Dyer. “It was inspiring to see just our little outdoor cat just jump at two coyotes that were attacking this little dog who she loves and run them off.”
Now, Oakley is again to her old self, doing tips, and consuming treats.
