CHICAGO – A cat was rescued after a fireplace erupted in a Lincoln Park condo building Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 5 p.m., firefighters responded to the 2800 block of North Racine for a name of heavy smoke and flames.
A cat was rescued from the primary ground of the building and was reunited with its proprietor.
All occupants have been accounted for, and no accidents have been reported.
CFD continued to chase scorching spots into the night.
