Cat rescued after 2 days held up a tree in Holywell

The poor cat Willow was left frightened and cold when she was not able to come down.

The cat was reported to have actually been held up the tree for over 2 days!

However, fortunately for her, the fire service and RSPCA ensured she made it down securely.

An RSPCA representative said: “Access was difficult – however utilizing an RSPCA cat grasper taped to a rescue and reach pole – Willow was reunited with her owner.

“Willow was extremely delighted not to be spending another night in freezing temperature levels with an empty belly.

“We’d like to thank North Wales Fire and Rescue Service / Gwasanaeth Tân air conditioning Achub Gogledd Cymru for their knowledge and continued collaboration working.”

The fire and rescue service got a call from the RSPCA to help with the occurrence at 16.12 on March 8.

A representative from North Wales Fire and Rescue said: “We were informed the cat had actually been stuck for 2 days and the cat was rescued utilizing a 9 metre ladder and a pole from the RSPCA.

“The occurrence was under control by 18.19.”

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service suggest that those requiring support with little animals get in touch with RSPCA in the very first circumstances.
