EDMOND, Okla. (CNN) – A cat in Oklahoma saved a household canine from a coyote attack.
Oakley, a 6-year-old canine, went exterior in her yard when a coyote pounced on her. A second coyote additionally tried to get a chew.
Home surveillance video captured the second a home cat instantly stepped in and chased off the coyotes.
Lane Dyer mentioned Binx is a stray cat that he and his household maintain. Binx and Oakley are good associates.
“Her and Oakley hit it off pretty good from the beginning,” Dyer mentioned.
So, when the primary coyote grabbed Oakley, it was Binx to the rescue.
Although the cat scared the wild animals away, sadly, Oakley did undergo accidents from the coyote’s chew.
Dyer mentioned blood was “spouting out of her chest.” But with stitches and a splint, Oakley recovered after a few month.
Dyer is grateful Binx was there to guard Oakley.
“I think she’s shown that she’s not afraid of much,” he mentioned.
