As everybody understands, fare evasion is an offense in Singapore’s gloriously effective public transportation system, a behaviour that SMRT takes “a severe view” of.
One furry commuter, nevertheless, was just recently captured red-pawed in the act.
Meow in the MRT
In a video published by TikTok user jian, the cat trotted down the stairs of an MRT station, obviously on its merry method to the platform.

Unfortunately, prior to it had the ability to board a train, the cat was carefully collared by 2 station team member.
The cat was later on seen being accompanied out of the station by the staff.
To its credit, it scuttled along rather cooperatively.
Very obedient undoubtedly.
Paw-sitive reaction
In reaction, lots of users commented pawssible locations that the cat may have been headed for.
Other users recommended that the go to may have been there for work instead of enjoyment.
And yet another user sagely explained that it may not have actually been fare evasion after all, in spite of the feline’s failure to tap in.
