The new Warner Bros. Pictures Animation beneath President Bill Damaschke has booked the forged for his or her upcoming characteristic take of the Dr. Seuss traditional, The Cat within the Hat, which they’re producing with Dr. Seuss Enterprises with SNL alum Bill Hader enjoying the title position. Joining him are Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange within the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) and Paula Pell (Girls5eva).
A worldwide theatrical launch of March 6, 2026 has been set. In this new characteristic model, directed and written by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, The Cat takes on his hardest project but… to cheer a pair of siblings scuffling with their transfer to a brand new city.
Pic is produced by Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern. Hader and Susan Brandt, the President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises are EPs. DNEG Animation would be the animation studio companion.

The Cat within the Hat was first printed in 1957. Universal made a 2003 live-action model of the kids’s guide starring Mike Myers within the lead position; that film grossing over $133M worldwide.
The Cat within the Hat is the primary animated characteristic to debut as a part of a slate of animated tasks that Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises are creating collectively. InSneider first had the information about Hader’s casting in The Cat within the Hat.
