KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – At about 6:32 a.m. on Christmas morning, the Knoxville Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from an condominium building on North Broadway at Fairmont Blvd.
When KFD arrived, crews efficiently entered the building, extinguished the fireplace and contained the harm to 1 condominium on the second ground of the building. The condominium had reasonable water and smoke harm, in response to officers.
KFD stated the building’s smoke detector system was working, which alerted everybody dwelling there to the fireplace. All occupants have been evacuated safely and a number of animals have been rescued, however one cat died.
The KFD Investigation Units have been on the scene working to find out the reason for the fireplace.
